Started by media and communications specialist, Susan Fitzpatrick-Napier, CleantechFunder aims to plug the funding gap from ideas to prototypes and then proven prototypes and demo models to commercialisation.
Susan has more than 20 years of media, communications agency and journalism experience in Australia, USA, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Through her PR Agency Digital Mantra Group she has helped raise more than $145m in funding for her client companies.
“CleantechFundr is a way of giving back and supporting the brilliant and determined cleantech community that is shaping our future for the better.”
Susan has managed communications for some of the world’s fastest growing cleantech start-ups including Ausra and Algae.Tec as well as the CleanTech Competition, CEBIT, cleantech delegations to the USA and Asia, as well as profiling companies at international biotech and innovation trade shows and conference, and has been guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate Business School on start-ups and IPOs.
Investors and VCs
She has also worked with some of the major cleantech VCs in Australia, USA and Asia including Starfish Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), Walden International and more, so she knows first hand what it takes to get investors to invest.
CleantechFundr is privately funded by angel investors.
CleantechFunder is backed by leading cleantech media company RenewEconomy and some of the leading cleantech business associations in Australia.
